About Us

The Cranberry Lake/Flowage Association was created to Educate, Inform and Improve.

The association was formed in the Spring of 2005 by concerned lake property owners who saw a need to address various problems affecting our lake such as Eurasion Water Millfoil and erosion control in the narrow flowage. One of the first tasks performed by the association was to put up signs and buoys marking the "no wake" zone between The Chipmunk and the bridge on county road T.

The following Spring the association was certified and recognized by the DNR as an official lake association. As a certified association we have sought grant monies and received a
Rapid Responce Grant.

Cranberry Lake has been awarded a Rapid Response Grant from the Wisconsin DNR. The grant is for $10,000.00 based on a 75/25 split. Once the association pays out $2,500.00 the grant matches dollar for dollar our expenses, up to $10,000.00 in our battle against Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM). Our estimated expenses are over $27,000.00. This money will help fund the removal of as many of the EWM plants as possible and aid us in our on-going battle against Aquatic Invasive Species. Besides having done a study of our lake, Steve Schieffer will write a Plant Management Plan for our lake.

If you’d like more information or you would like to be part of the the organization run by volunteers, please consider joining us in our effort to Educate, Inform and Improve our beautiful Cranberry Lake.
